I'm excited to share a project that lays the technical foundation for my upcoming characters. Meet Sam, a creation made totally from scratch, designed with a specific mission in mind: to make her debut on the Unreal Engine Marketplace, complete with a user-friendly, multi-level customization system.
👨🎨 Designed for All Skill Levels
My aim is to cater to both beginners and professionals. Sam's development focuses on accessibility. Beginners can dive in quickly and start changing colors and clothes via Blueprint, while professionals can delve deep into the Shader Network and adjust everything, unlocking endless possibilities.
🎨 The Power of Layer-Based Customization
One key feature is the layer-based approach, ensuring that my characters remain highly customizable and endlessly upgradable. By simply swapping or updating material functions, you can transform Sam into a completely different character with ease. This streamlined process simplifies managing and editing multiple characters, giving you more creative freedom. An additional benefit is, that old Characters automatically benefit from improvements of newer Characters! Just update the textures of on outdated leather material and it changes on every character inheriting the function without going back into Substance Painter!
